Kentucky Boards and Commissions

If you would like to offer your time and talents in service to the Commonwealth as a gubernatorial appointee, the Kentucky Association of REALTORS® nominates candidates to be considered by the Governor for available positions on several boards and commissions related to the housing industry.

Kentucky Real Estate Commission
Any real estate licensee wishing to be considered for a 4-year term as a Kentucky Real Estate Commissioner should submit an application form to the Kentucky Association of REALTORS®. Deadline for submission is January 23, 2015 to KAR, by mail (161 Prosperous Place, Lexington, KY 40509) or by e-mail to

Candidate interviews will be held in Lexington.  To qualify, one must have been a resident of the Commonwealth for 10 years and have held a Kentucky real estate license for 10 years. Questions may be directed to or call 1-800-264-2185.

KREEF Trustee: Application
Deadline: Friday, September 5
If you have an interest in serving as a Trustee for the Kentucky Real Estate Education Foundation, the educational arm of KAR, please complete the application. Trustees are responsible for overseeing and helping to plan educational programs and services in all areas such as continuing education, designations, CORE, prelicensing, etc to members and non-member licensees throughout Kentucky.
